Hockey India Senior Men Championship: CRPF Thrashes DASSCB 10-0 in Hyderabad
CRPF stormed to a 10-0 win over Defence Accounts Sports Control Board as eight fixtures were played on September 7 in Hyderabad, with CAG, Services, Railway Sports Promotion Board and Canara Bank also securing key results.
In Pool B, Central Reserve Police Force scored ten unanswered goals against Defence Accounts Sports Control Board. Mohd Wasiullah Khan, Abhishek and Gurmehakdeep Singh scored braces, while Lovepreet Jainth, Harish Pal, Lovejeet Singh and Deepak completed the tally.
In the other Pool B fixture, Comptroller & Auditor General of India edged Sports Authority of India 5-4 in a nine-goal contest. Skipper Parmod and Manjeet scored twice each for CAG, while Thrishul Ganapathi H also found the net. Sunil scored twice for SAI, with Sunit Lakra and Jojo Sunil also scoring.
Pool C produced two closely fought matches. Services Sports Control Board defeated All India Police Sports Control Board 3-2, with Kanagaraj Selvaraj, Amrit Tirkey and Akshay Dubey scoring for Services. Arun Sahani scored twice for AIPSCB.
Steel Plant Sports Board and Union Bank of India shared the points after a 1-1 draw. Ekka Ranjan Paul scored for Steel Plant Sports Board, while Kartik Ramesh Patare scored for Union Bank of India.
In Pool A, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board recorded the biggest win of the day, defeating Central Secretariat 8-1. Gurjot Singh and Chirmako Sudeep scored braces, while Ravneet Singh, Manpreet, Kumar Varun and skipper Walmiki Devindar also scored. Chandan Singh (C) scored the only goal for Central Secretariat.
I.T.B.P. Central Hockey Team recovered from a two-goal deficit to defeat Sashastra Seema Bal 4-2. Rohit scored twice, while Rahul Yadav and Roshan also found the target. Bikash Kujur and skipper Vishal Yadav scored for SSB.
Pool D concluded the day's action with Railway Sports Promotion Board defeating Food Corporation of India 5-1. Singh Gursahibjit scored twice, while Rawat Yogember, Pardeep Singh and Rohit also found the net. Navraj Singh scored for FCI.
Canara Bank defeated Tamil Nadu Police 3-2, with Raju Manoj Gayakwad scoring twice and Somanna Km also finding the net. Mathan M and Tamilvanan scored for Tamil Nadu Police.
With the group stage now well underway, the standings across all four pools continue to tighten as the 6th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2026 moves towards its business end.
